Getting Started

Hudur is a daily du'a and Muraqaba companion for Muslims. It helps you move from Ghafla (heedlessness) to the presence of Allah through structured spiritual practice, curated du'as from the Quran and Sunnah, and AI-guided Muhasaba (self-accounting) sessions.
Muraqaba (مراقبة) means "to watch over" or "to be aware." In Islamic spirituality, it refers to the practice of cultivating awareness of Allah's presence. In Hudur, a Muraqaba session guides you through a Muhasaba (self-accounting) practice — checking in with your heart, reflecting on your state, and closing with du'a and dhikr.
No. Hudur is designed for Muslims at every level of practice. The app offers three depth levels — Guided, Steady, and Deep — so you can start wherever you're comfortable and progress at your own pace. All du'as include Arabic text, English translation, and transliteration.
Guided is for beginners — the AI provides more structure and explanation. Steady is for regular practitioners with a balanced approach. Deep is for experienced practitioners who want deeper, more contemplative sessions with minimal AI intervention. You can change your level anytime in Settings.

Features

The Du'a Library contains 200+ curated supplications from the Quran and authentic Sunnah. Each du'a includes the original Arabic text, English translation, transliteration, source reference, and benefits. Free users get access to 50+ du'as, and Hudur+ subscribers unlock the full library.
Partially. Your saved du'a list, adhkar counters, and previously loaded content are available offline. However, Muraqaba sessions (which use AI) and loading new du'as from the library require an internet connection.
Tafakkur is a guided Quranic reflection (Tadabbur) feature. It presents you with a verse from the Quran and guides you through a contemplative reflection on its meaning and how it connects to your life. This feature is available to Hudur+ subscribers.
On Fridays, Hudur activates a special mode with curated Friday du'as and a Sa'at al-Ijabah (the blessed hour of acceptance) countdown. This helps you make the most of this special day. Available to Hudur+ subscribers.
Riwaya is an immersive audio storytelling feature that brings the Sirah (life of the Prophet ﷺ) and Islamic heritage to life. Listen to beautifully narrated episodes, save your favorites, and connect with Islamic history through a rich listening experience. Available to Hudur+ subscribers.

AI & Privacy

No, absolutely not. All Quran verses, hadith, and du'as in Hudur come exclusively from our curated and verified database. The AI serves only as a Muhasaba (self-accounting) facilitator — it helps guide your reflection, but never generates or modifies Islamic source texts.
The AI receives your selected heart state (e.g., gratitude, patience), your depth level, and session context to provide appropriate guidance. It does NOT see your personal reflections, du'a list, or any identifying information beyond what's needed for the session.
Yes, completely. Your personal du'a list is stored locally on your device only. It is never synced to our servers, never shared with AI, and never accessible to anyone but you. If you delete the app, your local du'a list is deleted with it.
We collect only what's necessary: account info (email, display name), spiritual profile (depth level), heart state selections, and session metadata (duration, exchange count). We do NOT collect your reflections, du'a list, location, contacts, or health data. Crash analytics are opt-in only. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

First, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store. Try force-closing the app (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopening it. If the issue persists, try restarting your device. If crashes continue, please contact support with your device model and iOS version.
Muraqaba sessions require an internet connection since they use AI guidance. Check your Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you're connected but it still won't load, the server may be temporarily busy — wait a moment and try again. Remember, sessions are limited to 3 per day.
Make sure you're using the same sign-in method you originally registered with (Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In). If you're still having trouble, try signing in on a stable Wi-Fi connection. For persistent issues, contact support with your registered email.
Go to Settings > Delete Account in the app. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data from our servers within 30 days. Your local du'a list is deleted immediately when the app is removed. You can also request deletion by emailing salam@hudur.app.
